This restaurant is a love child of an actress and a sparkling personality Satu Silvo – hence the name of the place that comes from the French s’il vous plaît.
Silvoplee was voted the best vegetarian restaurant in Helsinki in 2014. They offer a huge buffet with raw food, raw salad and warm vegetarian food. The menu changes daily, follows the seasons and favors local and Finnish food, seasonal produce and small suppliers.
In Silvoplee the food is sold by weight. And I have to warn you that everything looks so delicious that a price for a plate can easily climb up. My plates usually cost € 12 to € 15.
The popular restaurant has extended to a smoothie bar in the same space (note the different opening hours). The bar offers fresh health drinks, super shots and smoothies that are made from up to 95% organic produce. If you’re craving for something sweet order a piece of raw cake or saw chocolate. Organic wines, beers and ciders are for sale, as well.
So that the feel good package of Silvoplee would be perfect, Silvoplee also offers yoga classes (€ 10 – € 14) in their cellar! You don’t need to sign up, yoga mats are available to use and after the class you get -10% reduction from the restaurant. The classes are held in Finnish.
