Journey is “that cute little cafe in Istanbul” that you’ll go twice in one trip and tell your friends back home. You’ll rave about their breakfast spreads and cheese & meze boards, its pretty little corner on the street, the Turkish wines you had, oh and the cats of Cihangir!
This is a great cafe all around: good music, good food (local specialties as well as regular cafe fare), good drinks and a relaxed atmosphere. You can come during the day to spend some time reading on the sofas upstairs, or come for dinner and share some meze with friends. (Let’s please stop calling them Turkish tapas, by the way)
Cihangir is one of the city’s bobo neighborhoods – it’s a mix of a lot of boutiques, 3rd wave coffee shops, bars, antique shops. So join the local TV stars and expats and enjoy a day in Cihangir. Don’t forget to visit one of the best museums in Istanbul, just nearby.
