If you have more than a weekend to spend in Kiev and you like sports, you should definitely visit this park. It is located on Trukhaniv island between the left and right banks of the Dnipro river, near “Petrivka” metro station.
Druzhbi Narodiv Park occupies a huge territory and there are lots of things you can do here all day. I usually rent a bike but it is also possible to rent a four-wheeler, a horse, have a picnic, lie on the beach, you can even bring a tent and spend a night here.
The water in Dnipro river is not the cleanest but it is still possible to swim. I do. It is not allowed to make a fire in the park but most locals don’t usually care as nobody really monitors them. If you want to have a barbecue legally, it is possible in certain areas where you can rent a grill.
The most popular place in the park is the sports centre “Extreme park”. The entrance is free but there are so many things worth paying for: wake-boarding, skateboarding, paint-balling, dirt biking, canoeing, skydiving in a wind tunnel, mini-golf, climbing, basketball, volleyball, and many many more. When you’re done with all the activities, you can relax and have a drink in one of cafes or stay until late and party.
