Among the growing number of Kiev’s makers fairs and designer markets there is one I visit more often than others – Vsi Svoi, meaning “All our own”. As the name states, it is a marketplace for small local producers, and the theme varies form week to week: food and beverage, home and décor, clothes and shoes, or seasonal coat sales.
The fair takes place on selected weekends at 12 Desyatinna street, right next to St. Anderw’s Church. The building is located on the hill side, so the floors go down, not up. The lobby is 0, and -1, -2 and -3 are filled with booths, stands and shelves of Ukrainian craftsmen. The first two floors have spacious balconies with food stalls and tables, where husbands wait on their shopping wives. If you start from the top and go through all three floors, you will end up at the shady Art Alley, described by my fellow spotter in another article.
