Absurd is the key word for this cosy, magical little place. Mystery interspersed with home atmosphere will soak you up and always make you come back.
Absurdalia – a little austere café in Old Podgórze (one of my favourite areas in Krakow) which serves delicious tartas and cakes, all prepared by the owner of this place.
It all started from a little shop with hand-made souvenirs which used to be located on Grodzka Street. The real dream of the owner, however, always was to open her own café. She finally saw it come true last year.
Absurdalia café is one of those places where you won’t get bored that easily. There are different events organised there almost every evening (or on weekends during the day as well). If you’re creative and talkative – maybe you’d be interested in a Story Cubes night; if you’re good at handicrafts – perhaps you’d like to take part in one of crocheting or sewing workshops.
This spot will be perfect for a peaceful conversation with a friend (or a group of friends) or family event – the hand-made toys make it very child-friendly.
