Betel is located in a rather blooming neighborhood – next to immensely popular Charlotte and Bomba. Like these two, it also replaced a moderately interesting spot, but it’s not as well-known, perhaps therefore slightly less busy and more relaxed.
It’s also not so “visible” – the only hint is a sign on the front – as it’s in the courtyard. When going through the passageway you can already see chairs and tables outside, which are great to use when the weather is favorable. The garden is secluded and therefore more tranquil than spots which you can find at Plac Szczepański.
Also the interior is worth visiting – slightly industrial, but somehow also suitable for hanging out during the day, working on your computer (my thesis being the proof of that) etc. The entresol and music, which is not overwhelmingly loud, make it a space good for chatting, of which you are not tired after an hour. It’s also fun in the evenings, plus, sometimes you may catch exhibitions or concerts.
Regarding beverages, alcohol dominates the menu. You can – well, should – get the classics, such as various vodkas, but also drinks which are unfortunately less easily found in bars. An example of this being Raciborskie beer. Come, enjoy!
