Bunkier Cafe is one of the most popular places in Krakow for having a beer or something else to eat or drink. The cafe is located in the same building as a modern art gallery so after seeing an exposition you can go there to continue conversations about art; also it is a great place for meeting with friends and talk not only about art.
When you look at the outside, Cafe Bunkier looks like a glasshouse with walls covered in plastic which ensure that even in winter you can sit ‘outside’ with a view of Planty and people passing by. During the summer the plastic walls are removed and the place is fully open – you can feel the fresh air and in case of rain you don’t need to run and look for another place for a roof over your head.
This place is miscellany of old tables and chairs – each not a pair, like from a store with antiques. The tablecloths, candles and color lights also add some charm… Sometimes I think that it has a look of some French place from the late 40’s.
They offer tasty sandwiches and beer snacks, delicious cakes and a wide range of shakes and drinks. I suggest trying one of their specialities – hot obwarzanek (bagel).
This place has its climate, some kind of magic and you need to go there – I hope you’ll find a free table ;).
