A long time favorite of mine, Cafe Mlynek is a great spot to meet up with friends. In the Summer months I often enjoy their outdoor seating with a coffee or beer. A regular spot on weekends there is always a familiar face and overall the crowd that frequents here is friendly.
Besides coming for drinks and beers I also come here for the food which is a mixture of Polish and other cuisines offering anything from Samosas to Potato Pancakes with mushroom sauce, my personal favorite. The food is very good and the portions are large. The menu highlights dishes that are vegan as well as gluten-free for those looking for these options. They also offer meatless versions of Polish dishes such as Bigos, which is a type of stew.
From time to time a pianist plays during dinner time and every once in a while a party erupts into the wee hours of the night as this calm restaurant becomes a meet up spot for friends and friends of friends many times resulting in dancing on tables and the such. For those in need of a place to stay there is also a bed and breakfast in the building.
