I was looking for a place where I could see a film that wasn't playing in regular cinemas anymore... And it turned out that it was still playing there - in Kino Kika, very close to where I live. Moreover, it was Tuesday, so cheap ticket day.
Since I prefer little intimate cinemas to big multiplexes, this was an occasion to discover a new spot for me. I was the only person who bought a ticket for this particular film and it was played especially for me. I was sitting and relaxing on one of the poufs, watching my film in peace.
Although Kika looks inconspicuous from the outside, it is hiding a nice and cosy place to rest, have a coffee or relax and watch a nice film.
This place, with its location away from main tourist attractions in Krakow, in the old Podgórze, may be an alternative for those who like peace and a deliberate atmosphere. Apart from cinema rooms, where films are played, there is also a nice cafe, where you can come for your morning coffee (it is great!) or just order one of their decent beers.
