I admit that a few years ago I wasn’t a big fan of wines but now I’m happy that my taste has changed because thanks to this I can appreciate new wine places on Krakow’s map, like Lipowa 6.
Please imagine the post-industrial area of the city, a bit away from the main monuments (close to it there is only MOCAK, museum for modern art, and Schindler’s Factory) and in this peaceful surrounding there’s a unique place for wine lovers, but not only for them ;-). Lipowa 6 was created by amazing people, fascinated with the Austro-Hungarian food tradition and wine culture from Central and Eastern Europe.
As per the name of this place, “Krakó slow wines”, the owners want to return to the source of true wine – similarly like what’s happening with the term “slow food”. That’s why here you don’t rush anywhere, you just sit outside or inside (when the weather is too good or too bad), relax and enjoy the day. Of course if you’re not a wine lover you can always try one of their beers (Polish or Georgian), ciders or even mineral water from Caucasus. You can also order something to eat, either some snacks, regional specialities like proziaki from Podkarpacie from the lunch menu or even the insanely delicious Armenian and Georgian food served from the food truck Krako Slow Grill & Pavel Portoyan.
Lipowa 6 is not only a wine bar, it’s also place where you can buy wines.
