This time I want to take you to a part of Krakow that is not so often visited. And that’s a huge mistake, because Nowe Huta has more and more to offer – you can take a walk around the central part (Plac Centralny), see the green parts, visit Beksiński exhibition in NCK and when you get hungry, stop at this newly opened place.
Skarbnica Smaku is a restaurant located in an old bookstore which used to be called Skarbnica. This place was closed for a few years, but thankfully this year it went through a big renovation and now, in the interior, you can spot the restored splendor of old chandeliers and balustrade on the mezzanine. Also, to connect it somehow with the past, on the walls you can find books, a lot of books.
I really enjoy the taste of this place, and I’m not only talking about the delicious food, but also about the furniture from past years (I remember such pieces from my childhood). The menu is not the biggest, but it’s not a problem; the food is tasty, freshly made and it reminds me of the food prepared by grandma.
