It’s hard to find a perfect cafe outside the city center. More often than not, it is mediocre at best. It’s either good, but the interior isn’t too appealing, or they have decent coffee but lousy food… Let me tell you: Velour CakeStudio, located in Prądnik Czerwony (near Park Wodny water park), was discovery of the year for me. They really, truly have it all.

First of all – the cakes (obviously). You can get a piece to go with your coffee or order the whole thing for a special occasion. There are birthday cakes, Instagram-worthy cheesecakes on a stick, and macaroons. Whatever rocks your boat! However, If there’s cake in heaven, it’s the Velour CakeStudio’s Rossini cake. It is a party of flavors and textures. They hit your tongue one by one – the velvety icing, soft sponge, strawberry Turkish-delight-kind-of jelly, and if you think there are no more surprises – there comes a crunchy, wafer-y surprise! If you’re into simpler pleasures, their cheesecake is the best in town!

Secondly, Velour Cake Studio offers excellent seasonal breakfasts. Dutch baby pancake topped with baked apples, cinnamon, ice cream, chocolate crumble, and cherries – what more to ask on a wintery Sunday? There’s a discount for coffee if you choose to add it to your breakfast, and – good news for the party people – they serve breakfast Friday – Sunday from 10 am – 4 pm.

You can see the attention to detail in everything they do at the Velour CakeStudio, from the cakes to a beautiful interior. Highly recommend!
