About me
Half-Ukrainian and half-Russian, I am 100% from Kyiv, and feel it every time the plane touches the ground at the airport here. No matter where I go and how big or small my luggage is, my running shoes are always with me – discovering a new place through running is the best meditation a yogi could dream of in my opinion.
But cheese and wine, jazz and figs, bicycles and food markets are also in my top list :).
Why Kiev?
Travelling quite a lot, I am really open to every new place I visit, and there are very few I didn’t find an inspiration or soul in. But Kyiv, its calm historical districts breathe and the modern classy\funky\fancy\friendly heartbeat – it’s in the blood of its citizens.
Although I cannot call it multinational yet, all foreigners I’ve met here are in love with it and feel like staying longer. Just like my English husband who changed his residence country to Ukraine and now calls Kyiv his home city on Facebook :).
