If you have been to the Milk bar, you should definitely go to Dogs and Tails – the brand new project by Sasha and Anna just across the street. Apparently, the name means hotDOGS and cockTAILS – an American party place with both the right spirits and proper food: appetizers, main dishes and – surprise – ONLY two desserts. 

The place is housed in a former cinema hall from 1922. The conserved ancient turquoise ceiling is part of the lofty design here – pure harmony!

The place works from noon till the last visitor. No breakfasts, but traditional recipe hot dogs from all over the US and new ones, invented here in Kyiv. Actually, the ones in Kyiv have avocado in it – they taste of country, fresh food from the home of chef Christopher Faulkner and summer.

My olive addiction makes olives in homemade harissa my most wanted dish here – must try with a glass of wine or their flagman Bloody Mary made with bacon vodka!
