This spot is absolutely unique. A project born in the neighbourhood of Mouraria with a clear vision: to develop a laid-back space where the local community and visitors could connect, have conversations, and above all, share food!
This is in many ways far away from the concept of “restaurant”, hence why it’s called “Kitchen”. The kitchen in itself is an open space, where throughout the year local cooks and chefs from around the world come to prepare food with joy and laughter.
I love coming here not only for the vision of the space, but also for the environment and decor. It’s not a white towel place, it’s absolutely laid back, everyone serves their own dish, strikes conversations and enjoys a good time.
That is the key for me: being able to go more to basics, where finesse is not what matters, but instead the pleasure of social communion.
Make sure you get there early! As a community restaurant, quantities are not for maximum profit but for maximum fun!
