If you think that in Lisbon you can only eat fattening food, you are mistaken. There is a spot where you can only eat healthy traditional Portuguese food. Confused?
It sounds like a counter-opinion, but it’s quite true. Following the worldwide trend of thinking before eating, a tavern (called Tasca Fit) was created in Saldanha that adapted the typically Portuguese recipes, replacing the original ingredients with other healthier ones. You can, for example, choose to drink a protein shake before walking through the city or have a “post-workout menu” with stir-fried whites after another day of activities in Lisbon.
It only opened in March of this year, but has already won many customers over by mainly undoing the myth that healthy food does not taste good. The daily menus vary all week and we can know in advance what to eat each day if we visit its Facebook.
On Fridays and Saturdays, the Tasca Fit is open until 02:00 in the morning and on those late nights you can forget about the diet… well not completely, since their margaritas, mojitos and caipirinhas are made without sugar.
But of course, what I like most at Tasca Fit are the desserts. If you can come by, try a sweet tapioca of dark chocolate and strawberries…
You’ll literally be eating and crying for more, but with fewer calories.
