If you have been following my posts, you might have noticed that I deleted my article on KUCHA. It is with great sadness that I am announcing the closure of this plant-based “community” due to the second lockdown last autumn. In spite of that, the spirit of KUCHA lives on in the hearts of those who created this wonderful place.
Hence, cometh spring (yes I wrote cometh, don’t flip) and the loosening of Covid19 restrictions, new vegan initiatives started to flourish. So just imagine my excitement when my flatmate informed me that two of the guys from KUCHA started a new restaurant just around a corner!
Bobu bob (in English “calling a spade a spade”, but in Slovenia – don’t ask me why – it revolves around broad beans) is a fresh plant-based street-food baby, “conceived” by Andrej and Sašo. Cool dudes. So of course I rushed there the first free moment I had to stuff myself with some healthy and delicious dish. As expected, right? And of course, I also interviewed the poor guys about their new business and what to order and whatnot. I stick my nose everywhere.
And let me just say: this could as well be a vegan info point because these two lovely creatures probably know just about every plant-based restaurant in Slovenia. So I named my requirements and rolled my eyes with pleasure while nibbling on my gyros and sipping on my ice-tea, thinking “can life get any better?” RE-COM-MEND!
