Picture a warm sunny Autumn day; the streets are full of leaves, so you decide to trick the season and wear shorts over flip-flops. You are walking down the street with no plans whatsoever, casually waiting to be struck by inspiration. Breathing deeply, moving slowly, you take a right and at that moment it hits you.
A café, covered with ivy captures your attention and you just have to walk in. There is a 3-step stairway heading down past the bar. Don’t be shy, greet the cute, busy waitress and take another 3-step stairs up, towards the terrace. Become a victim of surprise since you couldn’t even expect such a sight from the outside. The courtyard is set in a simple but tasteful way with lots of green spots and of course ivy covering the grey concrete walls. You order a plain coffee, indulge in your sweet but sour craving and light up a smoke, put your right leg on the bench, kick back and relax.
A memory of mine captured the scene of a deep talk with a new friend. I can only hope my suggestion will do the same for you.
The café is a challenge to find, but one worth tackling. I’ve gone there with a friend to have a chat about life in general, because it allows you to get extra relaxed. Thus, it is a great place to take someone on a first date (a Tinder date perhaps ;).
