For a long time Ljubljana wasn’t really a street food/fast food paradise. Your options for a quick midnight snack were mostly divided into three main categories: burek, kebab and McDonald’s. It would be impossible to deny the transformation in last few years, but we’re still in the stage, where we’re excited about every new addition to the bunch.
Trubarjeva Street has an amazing position between charming Old Ljubljana on one side and Metelkova and Rog on the other, which eventually gave the street its unique character. For example you can find some of the best food over here (Tandoori, Skuhna, Libanonske meze etc.). This little falafel place is one of the older ones but still one of my favourites. For a long time it served as one of the only late night alternatives to greasy food and I’m thankful for that.
And if I quote one of my friends from Prague: “This is by far the best falafel I had in Europe”.
