In the last few years the global mania for old clothes finally reached Ljubljana and it was about time, because I basically used up all sources, like my parents, grandparents etc. But for a long time there was a ‘small’ problem: There were some second hand stores somewhere in the suburbs that looked like Red Cross and at men’s department you could find only stuff like band t-shirts, some army patterns and similar useless junk. And on the other hand newly opened shops defined themselves as vintage (meaning expensive).
moje Tvoje (Mine and Yours) is a great step forward. It gives the same feeling as digging in grandpa’s closet does and the prices can sometimes be ridiculously low and never expensive. And for some reason it’s (too) simple to get a discount…I really don’t know why they do that, because it can make you feel like you’re stealing their stuff. If they would have some clothes from old Slovenian/Yugoslavian brands (Rašica, Mura etc.) it would be even better but I still have some relatives with untouched closets left :).
