Primrose Hill London

Protected viewpoint in London

Danielle from London

I am a PhD student at University of Greenwich in London. My PhD topic is on the concept of the civic university, and the part universities play in local community and the place they are located in. Seeing that there are not many spots on the app in south-east London, let alone Greenwich, inspired me to apply to become a spotter, which also affords me the opportunity to re-connect with London. ...
"One of six protected viewpoints, Primrose Hill overlooks London’s skyline, with Blake’s quote: "I have conversed with the spiritual sun. I saw him on Primrose Hill.""

North of Regent’s Park is Primrose Hill, home to Primrose Hill viewpoint, offering views of the London Skyline. One of six protected viewpoints in London, it is 206 feet (63 meters) above sea level, and the trees around are intentionally kept low so as not to impact the view. There is also a plaque identifying the many famous landmarks you can spot, including the London Eye and The Shard.

If you’re looking for something to do after, you can walk to Camden from here following the canal, or cross Regent’s Park to get to Central London. For poetry fans, the viewpoint also features a quote by William Blake: “I have conversed with the spiritual sun. I saw him on Primrose Hill”. Fans of the series Sense8 should recognise this location from Riley’s scenes!

I'm a big fan of walking around and exploring London, especially near the river around Greenwich and from London Bridge to Southbank. As well as walking for pleasure, I enjoy reading non-fict...

A must try for me at Paradise Soho are the gigantic grilled ceylonese prawns - tender and smokey from the charring & the cashew curry along with a hopper.
