Erewhon – Ultra health food market

To enter this Shangri-La of all things health related, you must first get the pronunciation correct. Attempting to read it out loud phonetically gives an air of chanting an ancient mythological secret word to open the entrance of Utopia.

Erewhon makes Wholefoods look like a more coiffed Ralphs. Pronounced (Air-One), this native, ultra health food store situated in Hollywood caters to money-ed environmentally aware and earth conscious consumers who want to enhance their bodies and minds by worshiping pesticide free, organic, seasonal and local produce. Everything is sourced from smaller farm holdings and ethical companies, which produce products that cater for those with specific dietary requirements.

The tonic and juice bar counter is always lined with devotees waiting on concoctions, brewed to pack a potent punch from wellness formulas to age inhibitors. The have a colorful selection of cold pressed juices in refundable glass bottles: Try their pressed baby coconut milk, a creamy dessert like beverage and is the milk of the gods. The hot food counter, cold salad bar and pre packaged raw and macrobiotic food section have many well-considered appetizing options. Healthier alternative ingredients used in sweeter treats offer guilt free comfort: chia coconut milk pudding or raw almond flour brownies inject a wave of well-being over a shamefaced frown. The health and beauty section is a pantone board of happiness too.

Erewhon is a conscious market. A little on the steep side, it is worth the sheer prices to obtain an alkalized body and reach enlightenment.
