The Boiling Crab – Finger lickin’ good seafood

The Boiling Crab is a place I go to when I want to let my messy inner child be free. It’s a seafood restaurant that gives new meaning to the term “finger lickin’ good.” Once you step inside you’ll understand just what I mean. After you have been seated you will look around and see that everyone is wearing bibs, and with good reason! The food is served in plastic bags and customers are encouraged to make a mess – and why not? The tablecloth is made of paper and will be packed up and tossed out after you leave.

The first step is to pick your seafood and then proceed to pick your sauce. If you love spicy seafood this is the place for you! I always order shrimp with the whole shebang (a mix of rajun cajun, lemon pepper, and garlic sauce) and Cajun fries on the side. I ask for the most mild mixture, because when they say hot they really mean it!

If you go there on the weekend then be prepared to wait up to two hours in line. It sounds crazy, but it’s worth it! A little secret is ordering to go. You can place an order and once you get your food head to the cafe next door. They know the deal, and if you order a drink then they will let you eat your meal there.
