The Landmark Theater – A film-viewing experience

I have noticed that over the years, lots of tourists, especially those travelling with families, frequently want to see movies and take a night out a theater. And honestly, I still really enjoy treating myself to a nice night out at the movies.

When asked where one should go to the movies, I always recommend the Landmark Theater at the Westside Pavilion. The Landmark was built out of the former western half of the Westside Pavilion mall. The conversion gave the Landmark the benefit of its own dedicated parking structure.

The Landmark typically features a combination of mainstream blockbusters, foreign films, and independent films. It is a modern theater that is kept spotlessly clean. Seating is assigned ahead of time, enabling theatergoers to pick out their seats in advance and get the seats they know they want as well as avoid what they don’t want.

One fun aspect to the Landmark is that some of the smaller theaters feature couch seating, which is perfect for date nights and also just for those who enjoy a comfortable seat that reminds one of home.

But my recommendation for the Landmark is due to the concessions.  Far from the regular junkie movie theater fare, the Landmark features a broad variety of high-end, gourmet snacks and alcoholic beverages including a full wine bar. At the Landmark, one can enjoy chilled Junior Mints and real butter on freshly popped popcorn.

All in all, the Landmark is a theater definitely worth a visit.
