I’m a sucker for themed bars (and an even bigger sucker for secret bars). Although The Little Easy isn’t a secret bar, it’s certainly a hidden gem, with a very unassuming façade, almost like a hole-in-the-wall spot. This works particularly well for it as, upon entering, you truly get that feeling of being transported into a very different place, far away from your reality. The front bar will be the first thing you see and, looking like the ultimate speakeasy, it will tempt you to grab a seat and stay there. However, if you’ve been dreaming of a visit to New Orleans, but can’t find the time or the money, you should venture into the back room for the next best thing.
The back courtyard is filled with enough detail to feel authentic. A water fountain sits at the center, to add to the atmosphere, with tables all around it and couch options at the edge of the room. But this place isn’t just about the decor, the drinks are also top notch, the bartenders are very friendly and all the food is fantastic and reasonably priced. It’s a perfect stop for a late afternoon drink, when it’s quiet and you can pretend to be out on a Southern porch with a friend – or later in the evening, when you can enjoy live performances, giving it an even bigger Louisiana vibe.
