I found this place via Instagram, that is, because of a photo posted on this social network. The façade just got my attention and it wasn’t too long before I went there to discover if the place was more than just pretty wooden doors. And what a great discovery Cafelito turned out to be.
Delicious coffee, different kinds of tea, home-made pastries, “tostas”, cereals and many more options await you here. It is nice for a coffee-break or an afternoon snack. Everything seems to be old in Cafelito, but that is part of the charm. Vintage furniture, from old radios and chairs to kitchen implements; it all seems to have been taken from an old movie set.
The owners/staff do take care of every little detail, and it shows. Waiters take the time to explain what they have to offer, what is best according to the season we are in and also explain the origin of their products. Once we were seated, and without asking for it, we were served citrus infused water. Details like this are what make Cafelito different and charming.
Coffee is their specialty, of course, so please try any from the menu. I also had carrot/pistachio cake with a white chocolate topping which I cannot recommend enough. The place is not very big, but once you get seated you will not want to leave. Wi-fi is available, there is a small library for customers and take away service is also a possibility.
