A friend of a friend, American, who came to visit Spain a few years back, read about this cocktail bar in Chueca and decided to give it a try. That recommendation got to me and the crunchy portobello filled with goat cheese seemed almost too good to ignore.
Now, this could be a typical way to get to new places, but I believe it is what makes being part of this community, Spotted by Locals, so awesome. Turns out, I loved it, and have been coming here ever since. It is a cocktail bar, yes, and it looks not special at all from the outside. But guess what? Be ready to be surprised.
If you come only for drinks, you will be missing out. I can’t even start to describe how yummy the portobello is. But bear in mind the rest of the menu: salmon ceviche with mango and avocado, risotto with truffle or grilled beef with chimichurri butter are all served here. All menus come in English, by the way, if that’s what you prefer.
And for the cocktails, you can switch it up a bit or come as many times as you wish and taste them all. For example: “Red hot chili rata”, “Kentucky Old Chicken” or “Asian Mule”. Believe me, presentation is so important at Entre Santos. Oh! and the staff is helpful and friendly, and the music is always on point.
