Mexican food can be found in many restaurants in Madrid, but this tiny taberna-like bar has become one of my favorites during these pandemic days. The open space by the window at the entrance would get your attention but that is only half of its charm. The picture-perfect graffiti walls are very cool; the colorful tables, frames and even lamps are everywhere, and music is a big part of it as well.
Regarding food, only a handful of people do not like tacos, burritos, or nachos; but please come to La Rebonita for the margaritas. Tasty and rich, not too strong but with enough tequila for the perfect combination, that is all you need. The prices are incredible too; I would say you can get a nice Mexican meal and a cocktail for 20€ per person.
The place is not big, just a few tables, so do make reservations in advance. It seems to be the new normal now in the city, smaller restaurants for fewer people and I have to say, I would much rather have it like this. The owners are a very friendly couple who would make the best recommendations so ask them to have the best experience.
