I have so much love for Verbena bar. It’s a small local located in the heart of Malasaña, just steps away from Plaza Dos de Mayo (check out the article). I’m not sure what it is about the place that makes it so charming to me. However, I’ve been a loyal customer ever since first stepping foot inside, for a few reasons: the prices are fair, the food is good quality, and they have vermut on tap. What more could you ask for?
Verbena bar prides itself in serving traditional Spanish dishes and tapas with a little bit of a twist. The bar is open all day, so you could go there at anytime for whatever occasion. Head over in the morning to start your day with a slice of tortilla or a coffee. Or check out their menu of the day for a long, slow lunch. If you’re a night-owl, you’ll be sure to find yourself in an amazing atmosphere. It’s usually packed with people having a few beers or a gin and tonic to start off their night.
