At first you may think it’s only about pastries and coffee, but Mür is also known for their cocktails and its famous brunch. Let me just say this, if you come for a brunch, you will hardly eat for the rest of the day. There are eggs Benedict with salmon, nut cereal, all kinds of home-made bread, yogurt and veggie options on the menu, and it is only available on Fridays and weekends. But the sweet notes are, of course, their delicious cakes and that is what makes this coffee place so special. My favorite is the “Oreo” cheesecake. I mean, if you like carrot cake, tiramisu, black beer cake and other cheesecakes, that’s fine. But you will be missing out on their best cake yet.
Yes, the food is amazing but Mür is about cocktails too. Mojitos, gin tonics and caipirinhas are all good. However, “Zombie” is the cocktail I recommend: white rum, mango juice, grenadine, pineapple juice and natural orange juice with regular rum. You will be surprised.
This coffee shop is so cozy and inviting that even dogs are welcome here. As part of the furniture, there are couches and a communal table, and also a few small tables overlooking the plaza where it’s located. There is also a terrace perfect for hot summer days.
Mür only takes reservations for brunch on weekends, any other time of the day it’s ok to come without one. Be aware that take away is also an option.
