This new Covid life has made us all go live outdoors, as long as there are just a few people around and all the sanatory recommendations are met of course. Madrid has gone through a difficult time these past few months and most people are taking social distancing quite seriously.
So, in this new life, Santander Park is slowly but surely becoming part of my daily routine. I even enjoy the running track, and I am not a runner at all. It is the perfect place to exercise, rollerblade, play sports, go for a walk, run, or even come with your favorite book and enjoy the nicest weather Madrid has offered in the last 3 months.
It used to have a golf course that is being rebuilt at the moment and probably the City Hall would change the main areas to adjust to the new restrictions. Still, most sports venues have resumed their activities and the park is having lots of sport-loving visitors.
Besides the exercise areas and running track, for neighbors is the main green area in the middle of Chamberi district. It even has a small cafeteria and children’s playgrounds. The park has it all and I can’t believe it took me this long to talk about it. Your favorite running club restaurant is just right around the corner too. Perfect spot!
