After the pandemic, yearning for live music spots grew immensely. And I am not talking only about myself here, I know for a fact that many did not want to engage in big concert-like events or gatherings, back in 2021, 2022, and some people might still feel like this in 2023.
So, ThunderCat Club became a huge discovery precisely for this reason. It can be intimate and feel safe but at the same time give you enough concert vibes if you love live music. On the first visit to this place, masks were still mandatory if you were leaving your table or group, and people were not allowed to stay at the bar. Still, the concert was amazing: the covers of the music of Tarantino´s films. How cool is that? This year I celebrated my birthday in the club, the music was from the 80s and we loved it.
The weekly program is available on their website, and they usually have 2 bands performing live and several jam sessions before, in between, and after. Bands play rock music, mostly, and more pop can be heard afterward when it becomes a dance party of sorts. So, take the rocker in your life to this place but also the dancing queen or king, they will all have the best of times.
I recommend coming early, before 11 pm, or right when the first band starts playing. If you can, make reservations in advance because the place gets packed, and it is not too big.
