As a coffee lover and a big fan of trying coffees which sway from the Swedish standard of extra strong, albeit too strong for my North American genes, Olga’s Café has quickly gained a reputation in Malmö for having one of the best, if not the best coffee offerings in town.
It’s also a wonderful breath of genuine fresh air from the over-priced aggressive chains like Espresso House and Starbucks which are literally popping up across the street from one another.
Olga and her crew also have a tasty lunch buffet and desserts on offer. An interesting thing is that Olga used to have an interior design shop at the same location before following her true passion and converting it into a café – so if you fall in love with a particular cup, mirror or piece of furniture, it’s likely possible to buy it.
So enjoy a nice coffee people are known to take detours for, and the unique interior at Olga’s – and be sure to get lost in a nice book or someone else’s eyes in the especially cosy lower level down the stairs.
