Alberts Schloss – Prost!

I’m a total Germanophile so it won’t come as any surprise that Alberts Schloss is one of my favourite places for Bavarian grub, lashings of beer and dancing on the tables.

Alberts Schloss is set on the ground floor of the Albert Hall and inside mixes the traditional Alpine-style benches and huge copper tankards with a stylish decor, live shows and bands and a ‘Push for Prosecco’ button.

The Schloss is most famous for its huge selection of imported beers and Czech Urquell served from copper barrels. But even if Pilsner isn’t your thing, there’s also a great choice of wine, cocktails and authentic schnapps made on the premises. I can highly recommend the Apfel Strudel cocktail when it’s cold out. As you’d expect a lot of the dishes are very meat-heavy (pork knuckle, anyone?) but there are some vegan options on the menu too.

Now is the perfect time to visit too as, keeping with the German tradition, Alberts Schloss is hosting Oktoberfest events throughout September!
