Dough Pizza Kitchen in the Northern Quarter is the perfect place to go whether you want a cheap lunch of a nice place to meet with friends for a catch-up.
Monday – Friday, from 12pm to 4pm, Dough offers a lunch menu with certain pizzas going for only £5, and any other time the prices are still very reasonable for the quality provided.
And if, like me, your friendship group consists of fusspots, vegans, veggies and people with food intolerances, Dough is a perfect choice, providing alternatives for both gluten and dairy as well as veggie and vegan options. The menu is colour-coded which is incredibly handy when dealing with dietary restrictions.
The food itself is delicious and with both traditional pizzas and more modern takes there’s something for everyone. My personal favourite is the Chicken Balti pizza which is served with mint yoghurt and mango chutney, as well as with onion bhajis on top.
The atmosphere in Dough is always cheery and I’ve never had a negative experience with the staff or other customers.
I highly recommend Dough when looking for a brilliant pizza at a perfectly reasonable price.
