The recent heat wave in Manchester can only mean one thing – ice cream! Tucked away in a corner inside the huge alternative shopping mall, Affleck’s Palace, Ginger’s Emporium offers a little bit of respite from the Saturday shoppers. It also serves some of Manchester’s most interesting desserts.
Dubbed as ‘ice cream for grown-ups’ this award-winning icre cream parlour offers much more than your usual chocolate and vanilla, with plenty of boozy, sweet, spicy and downright bizarre choices!
Ginger’s now also offers a vegan version of its famous ‘Chorlton Crack’ – a genius concoction of peanut butter and salted caramel and there’s also a Coconut Malted Milk and plenty of sorbet options for my fellow plant-based pals.
Affleck’s Palace itself is well worth a visit for its weird and wonderful shops and cafes, but you’ll often find the Ginger’s team out and about around Manchester serving at markets and cafes from their ice cream van.
