Coffee is really having its moment right now and amidst all the cool coffee shops scattered around Manchester it’s easy to forget about the nation’s favourite drink – a proper British brew!
Tea Hive does serve great artisanal coffee but it’s the teas that really steal the show at this cosy Chorlton cafe. From classics such as chai, Earl Grey and Russian Caravan to the more unusual teas, there are more than twenty loose teas and even a Tea Hive black tea blend on offer. So there’s no doubt that you’ll find your perfect cuppa to accompany a huge slab of cake.
With its mismatched furniture and crockery the interior resembles a cosy, old lady’s house which adds to the quirky, homely vibe! Tea Hive more than caters for vegans too so I’m currently working my way through the numerous vegan cakes, sandwiches, soups and breakfasts on offer. You can even veganise Tea Hive’s famous afternoon tea if you order with 24 hours’ notice!
