Have you ever dreamed of flying, or do you miss being a child and being tossed around by your uncles and other fun relatives?
Well this is the perfect chance. Why I love Acroyoga? It’s fun, it makes you feel light & strong but also helps you loose the fear of touching a stranger.
Yes! Nowadays, and in such big cities as Mexico, it seems impossible to find personal space. We are so afraid of being accidentally touched by someone that sometimes it makes me think it has become a common phobia.
Acroyoga gives you the possibility to go back to being a child, have fun with others like yourself and forget all about your adulthood pressures.
Every Sunday, acrogyoguis and acroyoguinis around the city gather together at Víveros de Coyoacán to practice and jam.
The initiative was taken by Ximena and Diego who are great yoga teachers. I’ve had the chance to attend some of their classes at Huerto Roma Verde and just love the energy, fun, patience and sense of community they create.
Acroyoga is about knowing and enjoying your body, losing the illusion of control, trusting one another and creating an instant bond with a complete stranger.
