Did you get a chance to see Frida, Salma Hayek’s movie? If you did, then you should remember Frida’s notebooks and Diego’s studio filled with books. Well, feel lucky: you can meet the artist behind the movie.
Claudia Abuali used to work for the movie theater business for a long, long time. During this time she was often asked to look for a notebooks that resembled the time, age and characters personality. That’s when she decided to start making them by herself. Frida is just one of the movies she worked on.
Photographer, artist and amazing cook, Claudia opened Arte Abualli Home to put together her passions and origins. Daughter of a Lebanese mother, Claudia has the most amazing childhood stories and you can taste them in the food.
Everything you eat at Abuali is home-made: from bread to desserts, some of them are Claudia’s own recipes and some are her family’s and friends’.
The coffee and beverages are delicious, so ask for recommendations. The hummus, jocoque and vine leaves taste as they should, so try everything and especially order the Lebanese dish and Arab coffee.
While you’re enjoying a great meal or beverage and dessert, look around the shop to find hand-made agendas, recipe books and travel books, or order a personalized notebook, wooden furniture painted by hand, hand bags, aromatherapy ware and much more.
Just between you and me, Claudia can read the coffee, so ask what your future looks like, or just enjoy a nice conversation.
