Caravanseraï is the perfect place to hide from the rushed and chaotic pace of Mexico City. It’s located at the “Edificio Balmori”, one of the most beautiful buildings of the Roma Norte neighbourhood, built in 1922 an restored in the early 90s.
Caravanseraï is divided into little lounges so any spot you grab will make you feel calm, cozy and comfortable. There are also a few tables on the street in case you want to enjoy the sun or smoke while having a cup of tea.
The menu is massive with 19 pure tea varieties and 71 mixes and special selections. My personal favourites are the “silver needle” (white tea) and the “shiva song” (oolong). There is also a wide selection of amazing desserts like matcha (green tea) cake, apple and berries pie or pear and almond pie.
Caravanseraï is a quiet place where you can have an amazing chat with friends, read a book or simply make a quick stop during your walk around the neighbourhood.
