Casa Franca was quite a finding; I was invited at a friend’s birthday with no intention of finding a new spot in Mexico City, but I am glad I did.
First thing you should know is that if you are coming with a big crowd, or if you want to sit at a table, you need to make a reservation. Otherwise you can just sit at the bar or uncomfortably enjoy yourself standing around while everybody else moves around you.
What I loved about this place is that when I first arrived I noticed a lot of women sitting at the bar, enjoying themselves and being served by other women. That made me fell really comfortable and happy to be there.
I really truly loved the decoration; it’s kind of eclectic and it varies from the main room to the other rooms. My favorite are the chairs, the lighting and the view from the balcony.
But what made me fall in love with this place is the fact that they offer dry drinks for those of us who would rather not wake up with a hangover. It’s heaven and we can stop drinking soda with a lemon twist and actually try some amazing red fruits or lemon and fun romero drinks.
Warning! If you are a jazz super fan I don’t know if this is the place for you or I just wasn’t lucky enough to listen to the great bands that perform at this place. Music was fun & ok.
