It’s absolutely impossible to ignore the smell of freshly baked bread and just-made coffee that wafts in the area. The small cafe that has the face of Don Porfirio Diaz, former ruler of México, on its logo, is ready to please me either for breakfast or for something else.
Just across the street from Monumento a la Revolucion is this well located café where I can enjoy the Ensalada Himno (anthem salad). I prefer the tables outside so I can have my breakfast while I let my mind drift away with the view to the monument.
It’s a small place, but the service is superb. During the day, I like to and sit there just to relax my feet while I drink a coffee or a beer. Because of this, sometimes I find it difficult to get a table on the spot, but I can always take a walk to the Monument and go back to Don Porfirio.
