There was a time were I wanted to open the healthiest bakery on the planet at the same time one of my closest friends was trying to open the best french bakery in Mexico.
So I made it a personal quest to visit every bakery in the city, and well it’s not that I quit my goal of a healthy bakery, let’s say I just put it aside for a while for the sake of pleasure.
My friend suggested I should try La Bohême. He emphasized on trying the éclair. Being a cook and a baker apprentice myself I don’t trust a lot of people on food recommendations but this guy has a great taste for food and life.
Let me tell you that when I got there I thought it was another commercial bakery. Actually they offer great craft bread. It’s a bakery and bistro that keeps the flavors of the traditional French cuisine with a contemporary twist.
The place is really nice so follow your chocolate éclair with a cup of coffe, enjoy a good book or company.
If you want to know what else I found in my bakery quest, take a look at these three places:
Pancracia, you’ll never know what you’ll get.
Panadería Rosetta, don’t miss the guayaba and goat cheese roll.
La Ruta de la Seda, skip the chocolate and try new flavors.
