La Ruta de la Seda is one of Mexico’s City first organic bakeries. It used to be smaller but they have been growing in the last couple of years.
The food is good and tasty, the drinks are extravagant, and the bakery itself is exceptional. You will be tempted to skip the whole food part and just go straight to the dessert and well, you only live once.
I’m usually an all-chocolate lady but here I am completely blown away by how different ingredients are mixed together. The textures are really soft and the flavors are mild. It’s a romantic experience for your sense of smell and taste.
This little spot is the perfect place to go to after a long walk and Coyoacan, the barrio it is settled in, is the perfect place to stroll around in.
Don’t forget to try their many types of sourdough bread made with ancient grains from different parts of the world.
