Reforma Cyclist Ride – Fun in the city center

This fun ride in Mexico City’s center takes place every Sunday of the year in the morning. The streets close so you can rent out a bike or scooter and tour the city center without any traffic from cars. It is also very safe to walk around at that time because there is a lot of security around the closed area. If you don’t have a bicycle available to you in Mexico City you can rent one for free at many kiosks called “bicigratis” by showing your passport or some kind of ID.

This is not a race, therefore you can stop for pictures, museums or even a snack anywhere you like along the ride. My favorite spot along this ride is Paseo de la Reforma because it is a beautiful street where most of the important monuments are. This street also changes colors with every season as the state changes the color of the flowers displayed. I highly recommend this activity with friends and family for some weekend fun!
