Shared Scooters – The coolest sightseeing

Are you sightseeing in Mexico City? I recommend you to do it with a scooter!

The service of shared scooters just arrived in Mexico City. Currently, two companies provide service in the city (Bird and Movo).

The first thing you must do is download the app of the scooter of the company of your choice on your phone. They are really easy to use: when you find one, approach it and unlock it by scanning the QR code that’s on the handlebar of the scooter. Once identified, the level of the scooter’s battery will be displayed in the app and it will begin to record the time of use. Once you finish your tour, just leave it in the service areas.

These scooters have an LED lamp on the front and lights that illuminate the ground for motorists to see you when it’s dark. In addition, they have two levers on the handlebar; these allow you to accelerate and brake.

You can find them just in some areas of the city: from Del Valle to Polanco (depending on the app).

Shared scooters are becoming one of the best options for urban mobility, and Mexico City is not left behind. They are a lot of fun and ideal to enjoy the city. I love to use them for short distances or just to have fun during the weekend.
