Tlaco is an amazing Prehispanic food restaurant located in one of the most eclectic neighborhoods in Mexico City.
The most precious part of Mexican Culture is its cuisine. We take pride in what we have inherited from our ancestors and some of us have started movements to preserver our legacy as “Hijos del Maíz” (children of the corn).
This team of 3, Oliver, Emmanuel and Judith, have made an amazing job, not only at preserving corn, but also with the traditional ways to prepare tortillas, tostadas and tlacoyos, taking them to a whole new level of taste and nutritional value.
Tlaco Condesa takes one of the main traditional dishes, the tlacoyo, and claims it to be the first “fast food” in the country.
The Tlacoyo is the main character, a must-have is the best grasshopper tostadas in all of Mexico, and the amazing pulque popsicle.
They’ve also expanded their menu including their own version of the iconic dish from Oaxaca, the tlayuda and the street corn turned into a delicacy with fine herbs, mole (cacao spicy sauce) and sesame, guacamole and cheese. You can’t miss them and you will only find them here.
