Traspatio means backyard. This place was exactly that: the backyard of a house. The son of the lady that used to live here one day realized that his mom was living in a huge house with a large abandoned garden on a corner in one of the most hot neighbourhoods in the city, so he saw an opportunity to make some extra cash.
He installed a grill, a bar, a few tables and opened up direct access to the garden. The place was a huge success from the start, because it’s a cool, relaxed place to hang out and have a beer.
The menu includes lots of grilled stuff: steaks, burgers, veggies, tuna, salmon, chicken wings and a great “choripan” (a sandwich with Argentinian chorizo).
It’s my favourite place to spend and afternoon sipping mezcal and beer or a glass of wine. At night Traspatio gets crowded and louder, all you need to have a good time.
Traspatio only takes cash, so stop by an ATM.
