Alcoholy is a stylish bar in Minsk’s very center. It’s situated not far from Minsk’s main bar street Zybitskaya, the third one being Revolutsionnaya (the second one is Oktyabrskaya, obviously – and yeah, this is the “common” ranking, not mine. For me, Oktabrskaya is the best).
Actually, Alcoholy became famous long before they actually opened. What they did was start to stream on their facebook page their quest to get all the licenses, city administration documents, etc. in one simple phrase – their battle against Belarus’s bureaucracy. Since then, it’s been of the most brutal and violent reality show you can ever imagine, and they obviously went viral.
So, a couple of months ago they actually opened. It’s a stylish place, but not so fancy it gets uncomfortable. That is what I like here the most. A lot of places nearby are quite the opposite of that. They’re, you know, too fancy. At Alcoholy, it’s quite easier to be yourself.
Mosly, it’s a cocktail place. They don’t really focus on cocktail classics. Rather, they’re more about author ones. And they have really funny, ironic and stylish names. Ask the bartenders to translate them for you.
Staff workers are great, by the way. Very funny and hospitable. too. Aall of them are constantly creating some activity or another. For example, a city-wide Secret Santa. So, these are creative folks.
I like this place for its creative and hospitable, relaxing atmosphere a lot.
