Even though I’m not a big fan of museums or beer, the ''Historical route'' is one of my favorite excursions in Belarus and abroad.
The Alivaryja brewery dates back to the mid-19th century, hence the guided tour offered by the museum is not only a great way to learn about the brewing process (from old equipment to modern manufacturing facilities) but also Minsk city history and some significant characters (Rochlia Frumkina and Karal ÄŒapski). The historical building itself and preserved artifacts create a unique atmosphere in one of the two brewing museums in Belarus.
Even though tasting is part of the tour, beer lovers might still opt for the specifically designed excursion on beer styles. All you need to save your spot is to book one of the two group excursions in advance. Tours can be conducted in English for groups of 4 persons or more. And there is no possibility to visit the museum on your own.
Have you ever thought about brewing your own craft beer? Well, you never know where a single excursion experience can get you.
